I'm going to make a guess at Glasgow Tram Driver/Bus Driver

James.

PS. My great Grandfather John Reynolds married Mary Ann Mullin
in The Gallogate Glasgow, both families came from Co. Tyrone.

The cap badge looks very like the Glasgow Corporation Tramways uniform badge (see http://riversidemuseum.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/conductresses2.jpg )

This second image from 1914 http://gdl.cdlr.strath.ac.uk/springburn/springwar/springwar03.htm  shows the men of the Tramways who volunteered to form the 15th HLI Glasgow Battallion.

There are however differences between the uniforms with the uniform from the war volunteer ones having metallic buttons rather than black ones and a shirt collar showing.

That said, I would say that the cap badge is definitely that from Glasgow Corporation and would point to either the Trams or Subway system

Agree that is looks like a Tram Inspectors badge, although the Glasgow badges didn't appear to have anything below the number, Good information here -

Thanks for all the helpful replies ! I think the year is around 1920/1925, and this is my grandfather James Mullin from Omagh, Co Tyrone born 1883 and I have no idea when he went to Glasgow. I think he was in the army but I cannot find any military records. I also belive he was a gas lighter which could explain the municiple cap badge. Thanks again for the input.
