Thanks for all that info and, sorry I have took so long to reply. Been so busy going to the Registrary Office here in Glasgow. Do most of my research there.
The other sister was Jane Boyd married to Andrew Baillie. I'm sure they also lived in the Malvern area.

I've found his war record. He enlisted in 28/71915. His wife is next of kin: Mrs J Dickson, c/- Mrs Boyd, 8 Palermo St, Springburn Glasgow. Previous address Portland St, Springburn.
He was 19 8/12 years old. He was born in Tweedmouth, Berwick, Northumberland. Says his father's whereabouts were unknown and mother deceased.
He was discharged in 1920.
His marriage cert is on there. He ducked over from France, during the war to marry Janet. A bit confusing seeing Mrs J was down as next of kin when he enlisted.
Janet came back with him in 1919.
Enough from me: It is all there, 40 pages on http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/imagine.asp?B=3505963&I=1&SE=1

P.S. Would this be Andrew's full name? ANDREW DOWNIE TURNER Baillie

Also from the Vic death index, 1957 Margaret Dickson, mother Merle Heather Brockfield, father James Boyd Dickson. Age 0. Carlton. Reg 12733.

Hi Annie. What part of Australia would Janet and James have arrived in when they left the U.K?

Would they have went direct to Oz or via the States.?
Susan.
-
Hello there Susan
Now why would you think via the States? That has me curious.
I can look up the receord on FindmyPast.
Jenn
-
No particular reason. Just thought that's the way it happened.
Going to bed soon as it is now 1.07.a.m. ere and, I'm not long in from work.
Susan.

They more than likely returned home on a troop ship. I have seen that a bit. Come round the cape usually I don't think the Suez was open but then not a historian so could indeed be wrong.
Not on
findmypast though could be mispelt.

Thanks Cando. That was quick. Another piece of the jigsaw filled in.
Susan.

Would you like the marriage registrations if they are before 1942, limit of indexes, as if and when you may like to purchase the images to find names of parents of spouses, you will have the registration numbers? On second thoughts I doubt if there would be any marriages before 1942.
I will do some cemetery searches to see if I can see any of the others.
Cando

That would be great. Had left that side of my family alone for a while there. Back into them now., and any help is greatly appreciated.
Susan.
-
Have you any idea where they lived...metropolitan Melbourne or country?
Cando

I'm sure it was Melbourne. Malvern, Bentleigh, Dadenong. Sorry I can't be more accurate.
I'm gong to work now. Back home just after 5.p.m.

I am not having any luck find this sister JANE Boyd
on your other thread you had
I think they may have settled in Prahran, near Melbourne. They had six children., Robert, James, Ruby, William, Marion and Neil.
Now is there a Jane to look for?
Plus I did also give you some of the childrens deaths allready on your other threa, If you check it out it wil save other folks having to find the same deaths again.

The ship sailed from Turkey, July 1919 and landed 8 September. It wouldn't have had time to go via the US.
Here is a great piece to read and it has a photo of the Indarra.

Sorry Jen. The Jane married Andrew Ballie, here in Glasgow, and apparently went over the border to Liverpool, England. It was my fault. Got her mixed up with Janet. Apologies to everyone.
