Put everything that's in the certificate on the postem, for example, date of birth, father's occupation, address and anything else that might be  useful.    It's a really good way of doing things.

I would agree with that - at least then it is obvious that it is copied from the certificate rather than assumed.  I always put my cert details on there, hopefully they will assist someone.
