Title: Liskeard parish records
Post by: waltonp on Saturday 05 November 11 13:33 GMT (UK)
Hi
I would like to get the original St Martins parish church records but so far have had no luck in finding them.
I have the Jago transcripts but wish to have access to the orininal so that I can transcribe them and put them on the web!
So far the Cornwall Record Office has no listing for them any offers!

Hi Peter
you could order the films of the parish register through a family history centre
eg search catalgoue
Bishop's transcripts St. Martin, 1676-1772
Parish registers for St. Martin (near Liskeard), 1653-1974
author: Church of England. Parish Church of St. Martin (Cornwall)

Full results are
England, Cornwall, St. Martin (near Liskeard) - Census (1)England, Cornwall, St. Martin (near Liskeard) - Church records - Indexes (5)England, Cornwall, St. Martin (near Liskeard) - Church records (6)England, Cornwall, St. Martin (near Liskeard) - Poorhouses, poor law, etc. (1)

you need to look at each result so you know the exact films to order

Bye

the record office does have the originals from 1539 onwards, but usually you can access only the microfiche copies.
