Jane Hide married John Shepherd in Rottingdean on 2 March 1813. They moved to Somerset. Ages given for Jane in census returns vary wildly. I would think she was born between 1785 and 1795.
Id be very grateful if anybody has details of Jane's baptism date/parents from the register, or her birth from any other source if there is anybody on the board who is researching the family.

Thanks.I had seen that on the IGI. It could work, depending on how long before her baptism she was born. If her baptism was only months after her birth then she would have been on the young side when she got married. And although her ages recorded on the census returns vary, in 1851 the age suggests a birth date closer to 1790.
But a gap of a year between birth and baptism and Id feel more comfortable with that particular Jane.
