Interesting you have Ayres listed ... this is what I have for EYRE, via the Claimants and Surrenders, complied by Ian Cantwell (I have photocopies that a cousin sent).
Eyre, Henry
Farmer
Kilpatrick, Wexford
Nature of Loss: Turf, Meadow, Corn, Profit of Cows
Sum Claimed: 53/5/1
Sum Allowed: nil
Eyre, Margaret
Widow
Kilpatrick, Wexford
Nature of Loss: Crop destroyed, Furniture, Cloths, Provisions
Sum Claimed: 58/4/3
Sum Allowed: [empty field on form]
Eyre, William
Ballinvally, Kilnamanagh, Wexford
Nature of Loss: Meadow, Saddle, Bridle
Sum Claimed: 20/-/10
Sum Allowed: nil
Eyre, John
Farmer
Ballinvady, Kilnamanagh, Wexford
Nature of Loss: Cash, Furniture, Horse, Provisions
Sum Claimed: 56/8/7
Sum Allowed: 55/17/3
From what we have gathered ... William one of several sons of John. And John is the son of Henry. William is my great-great-grandfather (b. 1845, d. 1908). He later moved to Kilkenny, Co. Kilkenny and raised a family.
Kind of funny, the AYRES mentioned in the OP ... my William had a brother Thomas. And there is a William and Thomas AYRES. I have frequently found EYRE to be spelled EYRES in genealogy documents. I wonder if AYRES is yet another "typo" and these are the same William and Thomas. But why would the Places they lived, Nature of Loss and Sums be different if so? Curious.
Thanks for posting, Sean

Good morning. I read with interest about Elizabeth Abraham, also Isaac, and Jacob Abraham, as claimants from Wexford, 1798. What I am wondering is, whether there may be more information on these people somewhere?
Perhaps some one could advise.
Thank you

Yes
- The original is either in the NAI, or NLI - I am too lazy to check.
- There is a version on CD, available for purchase
- The CD records have been put online by one of the commercial genealogy firms (Findmypast ?)- but of course you need to be signed up with them in order to gain access.

Thank you for replying. What I am looking for is any family connected to a William Abraham, Enmiscorthy, Wex Ford, 1833 (tithe registers). I have managed to trace his son William and his wife and three children to Australia, but prior to William Snr., there does not seem any trace of the family. Perhaps Elizabeth Abraham, one of the claimants from 1798., may be the widow of George, who was murdered on 2june, 1798., but I am unable to find any connection. ---try as I might. Also whether Jacob, and Isaac are part of the same family.
Any advise, would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely
Auriel Abraham

There are very few records between 1760-1840 in the parish registers for Abrahams and none in co Wexford. Do not discount these from co Wicklow & co Carlow & Kilkenny as these counties ex Kilkenny border co Wexford. The real problem is that when you go into the early 1800's and late 1700's and before, surviving records are few and far between. You can look at the parish registers online at nli.ie to see if maybe you may find other Abrahams. Hoping something may be useful, Kim
