if anyone is going to the british library any chance of looking up this record please. I am hoping it has his parents names on the record to establish his kinship with my Gt Grandfather.

I called into the Asia room today and tried to read the documents. Unfortunately they are not on open access and had to be ordered. They should be available for me on Thursday.

Saw the documents today.

According to one of them he was baptised January 1st 1806 at Surat or Lurat, Bombay, the son of David Charles Ramsay Esq and Ann Maria his wife.
