Hello, this is a picture of my grandmother mcgarrigle from donegal and my grandfather mullin from Omagh, co tyrone. Does anybody have any information on the uniform ?

Hi, not much information from the uniform, but would it be possible to get a higher resolution scan of just the hat and cap badge?

Hi, was looking for a higher resolution as the badge looks like that of a postman of the period, see similar badge here from the 1930's, common to these badges would be the crown on top with postman's number below, the SW on the badge below stands for South Wales

my gran was named cecelia and she died in 1930, maybe just a few years after this picture. Not sure where the picture was taken, could be Ireland or it could be in Glasgow because I believe he was street gas lighter, maybe I should be looking in Glasgow for a municiple workers badge ? I think he was invalided out of the army so thought this may have been a military uniform. Thanks so much for your input.
