Thank you so much for that information, I had tried to find him in TROVE, and had found some boxing information after the war, but I obviously hadn't put in the correct parameters to find this info. This will give me some further info to follow up on. If he is not in the phonebook I guess it means he had moved interstate, is dead, or doesn't have the phone connected.
Thanks again

According to the electoral rolls Frederick J T was living in Western Australia prior to enlisting in WW1. His parents were also living in WA and his father enlisted in WW1 at Blackboy WA.

It looks as though Frederick and if the divorce action did proceed, his ex-wife Elsie Pauline died the same year. Info on death certs is not always accurate but the age at death is a close match for Frederick born 1888. I cannot find a Frederick John BURROWS with father Thomas born c1887 on the Australian birth indexes.

I am not sure but my great grandfather was frederick james burrows who fort in ww1 and became a boxer after the war. Your great great grandfather might be his dad. The confusion i get is that frederick j t Burrows and frederick james burrows both fort in the ring and both had killed a man in the ring and moved to perth. Might be 1 and the same person
-
If frederick j t Burrows is the same as my great grandfather frederick james burrows then they are the same person.
Elsie Pauline Ramaro had 3 children To Frederick james Burrows, Colin,Esma and Patricia
-
Blake I suggest you read all the posts on the thread including the links.
The Frederick BURROWS who married Elsie Pauline ROMARO was Frederick John Thomas BURROWS not Frederick James BURROWS.
This is Frederick J T''s birth in South Australia...it's all on the thread

If two of their children are buried at Dwellingup then there is no headstone. Are you sure the information hasn't simply been taken from their mother's headstone?

Hi Cando,
I have no idea if the 2 Burrows are related.
I just mentioned it out of interest, however I will have a bit of a dig through what I have and see if I can find a link at all.
-
Pam I found a tree for your Frederick William and I can't see a connection unless it was in England prior to emigration. Anyway enjoy your 'dig' ;D

In the book I have (Caroline Eleanor Burrows/Ferrier nee Meredith 1813-1893 Burrows Descendants) there are some born and lived in WA however no names match.
-
No Colin burrows was my great uncle, my dad's uncle. Patricia Burrows is my grandmother, my dad's mum and Colin's sister. From what I can tell Jack Burrows is Patricia,Esma and Colin's uncle.
-
Perhaps he is FJT's youngest brother John Leslie BURROWS who died in 1946 in Victoria. He is enrolled to vote living at the same address as his mother Isabella and father Frederick Bosingham BURROWS.
Jack is a nickname for John.
The Argus 1 Feb 1946

He worked at Nagra brook timber same as Frederick
-
Yes John Leslie is on the Victorian 1931 electoral roll with his parents and Frederick John [1931] as a timber worker. John Leslie BURROWS is on the Victorian electoral roll from 1915 to 1936. He enlisted in 1939 in WW2.
Do you have any other info about "Jack"?
As he was only born 1902 he wouldn't have been eligible to vote until c1923 so if he was in WA prior to that date there is really no way of tracing him via the rolls.

Blake I have posted this information on reply#17.

Would your father know when? If Jack was John Leslie, Frederick's youngest brother, then he may not have been old enough or enrolled to vote.
