Title: Harold Stephen Worrall - South African Airforce
Post by: Tilsley on Thursday 20 October 11 11:28 BST (UK)
Hi,

I am trying to find information regarding Harold Stephen Worrall.  Acting Wing Commander in the South African Air Force in 1944-1945.  I am aware he had died prior to July 1945 but cannot find any record of his death.

He was also District Commissioner Indian Civil Service.

His address in 1944-1945 was Regent Road, Leicester.

Any help would be appreicated.

Many thanks

Hi,
I have photos of the complete Wall of Remenberance at the SAAF memorial.
His name does not appear on the Wall so it is safe to asume that he did not die while on active SAAF service.
It is possible to research his file at the SA National Defence Force document center in Pretoria.
Strange as it may seem I am also a Tilsley who served in the SAAF.
Cheers Willi
PS. PM me if you want a copy of the photo.
