Hi Delta59
Doing some searching and found your posting re Pitt Street 1841 Census
I have an interest in the John Boyd listed as Tailor, is this your interest? or could be one of the other Boyd's. I am now living in New Zealand, but used to live in Heath Charnock, just down the lane to Rivington, 9 miles to Wigan.
Regards
David.

Does anyone know when they pulled down all the slum cottages/back-to-backs in Pitt Street. I know there were some as late as the 1960s but from the photos I've seen it seems like the majority were down a lot sooner. Any local suggestions?
