Title: Edinburgh Bonnet makers
Post by: Sarah Stone on Tuesday 18 October 11 22:31 BST (UK)
Does anybody have any contact info for the Bonnet Makers guild in Edinburgh. Their web site soes not list it. I have several generations of Bonnet makers in the 1700's and am hoping to get a bit more information on their lives.
Thanks

Hi Sarah,

have you tried this site ?.

http://rls.org.uk/database/record.php?usi=000-000-001-364-L

This link gives the history of most trades and is in book form, just scroll down with the mouse wheel and that brings up new pages.

You could try contacting the Heriot-Watt University, Border Campus

Cheers.

Archie.
