Title: Burial & Marriage in Witney
Post by: sallyduk on Sunday 16 October 11 10:13 BST (UK)
Hi

Would anyone know if the St Mary's Church in Witney has MI's transcribed?  Would this church still have been doing burials in 1976?  I am looking for the burial of Dorothy Dickson who died in Witney in 1976.

Also, looking for a marriage of Albert Edward Walker to ? Dickson (possibly Naomi or Dorothy) sometime between 1945-1955?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards
Sally

St Mary's Church would not have been doing burials that late. It would have been Witney cemetary the disc I have only goes to the early 1900.

Many thanks for your reply, it's much appreciated.  I can now rule out St Mary's and look into Witney Cemetery.
