Title: Moran Marriage Ardee
Post by: teulu on Friday 14 October 11 12:41 BST (UK)
Does SKS have access to RC marriage records for Ardee Co Louth? I am looking for the marriage of William Moran and Bridget Gillespie between 1860 and 1865.

I was fortunate to find details of their children via pilot.familysearch.org

Christopher MORAN born 15 Dec.1865 Ardee Co. Louth (page 362 in civil register), parents- William Moran & Bridget Gillespie

Regards

Historic records for the RC parish of Ardee are available in the National Library in Dublin on on microfilm Pos. 5601, also in the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland ref. MIC.1D/52. I dont see any mention of LDS films but it might be worth double checking this (If they have copies you could order them from a centre near to you). Baptism and marriage records are incuded back to the 1760s.

Transcripts for the parish also seem to be available on the Co. Louth section of the RootsIreland pay-website at louth.rootsireland.ie (http://louth.rootsireland.ie) I had a quick look at the index and there is a marriage for a Bridget Gillaspie in Ardee RC parish during 1861. There is also a listing for a William Moran in the same year and parish that could match.
