Hello all, I have just joined up today!
my GGGrandfather was John Campbell born c1850 who married ann Car (Carr?) 28,09,1866 Jonesborough RC church Meigh. I would be interested in hearing from anybody also following this Campbell tree. I also would be glad of any help in finding earlier relatives.
I know that John's father was James Campbell and that Ann Car's father was Edward Car.
John came from Tievecrom and ann from Carrickbroad. I also have a connection with the McCrink family through my Great grandmother Bridget McCrink Who married Michael Campbell.
Looking forward to a fruitful membership.

Is this the family in 1901 census? This John Campbell aged 55 (born c1846) but born Co. Armagh so unlikely to have been baptised in Strabane which is in the west of Co. Tyrone:

These Will Extracts from PRONI website might be of interest- both probated in 1931:
"Campbell John of Carrickbroad county Armagh farmer died 11 November 1928 Administration Belfast 24 March to Rose Mulholland married woman. Effects £50."
"Campbell Ann of Carrickbroad county Armagh widow died 29 May 1930 Administration Belfast 12 October to Rose Mulholland married woman. Effects £55 18s. 4d."
Other Campbells and Carrs from Carrickbroad also listed - just search with 'Carrickbroad' in the full abstract box and check the results.

Hello aghad0wey and jimchelsea,
Thankyou both for your input. I think aghadowey has identified the right people. I know from a family tree that my late Grandfather put together that they did have a daughter by the name of Rosie who married a Mulholland. They also had Bridget who married into a family called Farmer and went USA 2x children Peter and Rosie.
Other Children of John Campbell were Essie (is that and abbreviation?)- Marie (married Murphy) Thomas, Peter(occupation carpenter), Edward, Michael (My Great grandfather who married Bridget McCrink).
Jimchelsea, the Campbell family that I am trying to trace are Catholic but thanks all the same.

Hello my name is Aidan Gallagher originally from Tiffcrum (Tievecrom) and we are related via our shared GGGrandfather John. Your GreatGrandfather Michael was a brother of Rosie Campbell who was my GreatGrandmother. Also on the McCrink side Michael married my Grandfathers sister on my Mum's side (Mick McCrink) Bridget McCrink's brother I believe. Very interesting, I got this information from my Father Patrick who is 90 now, and remembers hearing about John and Annie. Hope this response finds you well.

Hello Aiden,
Great to hear from you.
We are certainly related! And in a couple of lines as you said.
If i remember correctly Rose married Charles Mulholland. So who was your Grandfather/Grandmother?
I have to ask, as I met a cousin called Aiden many many years ago at my Grandfathers house. who was training to be a vet, Could this be you?
Best regards
Mike

Hi Mike, No must be another Aidan from another branch of the Clan.
My Grandmother was Rose who was daughter to Rose and Charles. Rose married Bernard Gallagher.
Our GGGrandfather John Campell along with his brother were skilled carpenters. According to my Dad they made the pews that are in use at St Patrick's Church, Dromintee back in 1866 when the Church was built. The same year that he married, where records show his profession as a carpenter.
