Is anyone researching the Lloyd/Halford family who were born in Newland/West Dean? I know the life story of Milo Lloyd (in USA) but not his wife or his UK family. This is all the information I have;
Milo Lloyd 1840-1918
He married Ann Halford Sept q. 1854 Monmouth District.
It would appear that Milo abandoned his family of 5 to live in America.
1861 census of Newland, Gloucestershire shows Milo Lloyd 24 tin plate worker born Newland Glos. Ann wife 24; Elizabeth 4; Frederick 1; all born Newland Glos.
1871 census Berry Hill, Newland Glos. Ann Lloyd 35 washerwoman (husband in America) born Coleford Glos. Elizth 15, Fred 12, Mary A 8, Reuben 5, Oliver Lewis 2 ,
1881 census Ann Loyd 47, Charwoman, Frederick son 20 coal miner, Reuben son 15 labourer at Colliery, Oliver son 12 Scholar. Dwelling Joyford Hill, West Dean Gloucester.
If you have any of these in your tree I would love to hear from you.

Newland and West Dean, while both included in the Registration District of Monmouth aer part of the Forest of Dean.
Have you tried the Forest of Dean website? www.forest-of-dean.net
They have Parish Registers available to search, but you have to register first.
