Hello Cumberland Forum,
We're hoping someone would have access to this marriage entry here below. We do not have an LDS Library near where we live. We're hoping someone in your area would have access to a Cumberland Archive with the same record (?). Any suggestions welcomed.
Stapleton Parish Church (online)
024 Dec 25, 1815 James KENNEDY of Stapleton & Dinah FOSTER of Stapleton married by Banns Witnesses were William Armstrong Ann Foster (X)
The same marriage is availble on Family History Search

Hi Dan
Can you tell us exactly what info you are looking for? Marriages for that period contain little info and you seem to have most of what would be on the original
Fathers names were not shown on marriage entries prior to 1.7.1837 which is the date when Civil Registration was introduced. Mothers names are never shown on English marriage certs
All you will get will be on the lines of the following - some of which you may already know
Names, date and venue
Spinster/bachelor - or widow/widower
If over 21yrs - will just say "full age"
Under 21yrs - "Minor"
Of this parish (OTP) - does not necessarily mean they were both born in that parish -just that they satisfied the short residential qualifying time required to enable them to marry there (approx 3wks)
The name and signature of the person marrying them plus the signatures of the 2 witnesses (occasionally more than 2 witnesses but not usual)

Do you already have details of their children from the IGI 1817 - 1829?
If not - just follow these instructions
PARENT SEARCH ON IGI
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true
Input fathers name and surname and mothers christian name
REGION – select British Isles from the menu
COUNTRY – select England
COUNTY (will appear when you select COUNTRY) – select Cumberland

Hi again
i wasn't sure what else you had, but as some children appear in this register, with exxtra information such as abode and occupation, I decided to take a chance on you not having the extra info and it being useful later.
Coming up when I find it in my notes
