				On the 1871 Census,   RG10 - 212 - Folio 5 - page 4
I have come across an Alice Vygus aged 28yrs - single - living in St. Pancras, Middlesex.
She says she  was born in Bradenham, Norfolk - [circa 1843].
I cannot find her on any other Census, nor can I find a birth/marriage/death entry for her.
If anyone finds her popping up anywhere, can they let me know please.
Thanks in advance

The age in 1871 is heavily marked and overwritten and I would think unreliable.
In the 1891 census there is a 40 yr old Alice VYGUS, single born Bradenham, in service as a cook in Brighton: RG12/815/108/8.

				Hi Mark
I can only imagine what various transcriptions can do to the name Vygus   :) ::)
Lots of lateral thinking needed with this one

				Yes,
It was a lot easier when you could look through the actual registers  - you'd be surprised at how the name is spelled and mis-transcribed !
My 'Vygus'  line came from Bradenham / Saham Toney, but there is no record of this lady anywhere in the family.

				Hi
in 1881 Alice Vigors was in service in Marine Parade Brighton, aged 25 and born "Bradham" Norfolk.
