Hello :)
The photograph of the girl in service I think is my great grandmother Lily, as she was in service in Swansea in the early 20th century. The photo looks like her, I think, but I'm not sure. The date is after Queen Victoria died and before 1915 when the photographer listed on the bottom of the photograph closed up shop.
The second photo is of when she was much older.
I'd love to know your opinions :-)

Hello curious.k,
Is the second photo definitely your Great Grandmother? If it is then I would be reasonably confident that it is the lady in the first picture. The shape of the eyes, nose and mouth are all consistent.
Sticking my neck out, photo 1 is of a lady in her twenties or possibly thirties. The photo was taken around - say - 1910, which would make her birthdate around 1880. Does this fit with your Great Grandmother's date? In the second photo she seems to be in her 70's or even 80's, making the date of the photo 1950 - 1960. Does this sound feasible?

The second photo is definitely my great grandmother. I've attached another one too for comparison :-)

Do you know the date of the last photocurious.k? I'd have put it at pre-war.

I think it must be about war time, as my great uncle gwyn who is in the picture too was born in 1929, and he looks fairly young :-)

That's helpful curiou.k.
Born in 1929, Uncle Gwyn looks in or around his twenties so that puts the photo during or just after the war. If that's the case and Lily was born around 1880, then she would be about 70ish in the photo. Do you agree?

I don't think she looks 70.
