Researching further into my Buchanan line I found Charles Buchanan as Registrar and Postmaster in Glamis, I saw a refererence for Tay Valley FHS re. a booklet Glamis a Village History and wondered if it covered the time Charles lived in the village or if there was any other publications available.
Charles b. 1894 - d. 1961 and is buried in Glamis Cemetery, his brother James Rollo Buchanan is commemorated on the Glamis WW1 War Memorial.
Other family members lived in Charleston of Glamis.
Any info. would be most welcome.
Thank you

Hi Anita
In case you haven't come across this snippet. Interesting slice of history here regarding the statutory birth registration of Princess Margaret (current Queen's sister) and your Charles Buchanan.
