Please could someone with access to M/c Cathedral Marriages check the grooms status and names of witnesses for this marriage.
Alfred Henry Williams to Jane McLean 10th April 1873.

Hello

If I have picked the correct Alfred Henry WILLIAMS up in the census,  I would expect it to read widower.

There is a marriage to ELeanor LLOYD 1868 St Mary Halkyn Holywell Flint which ties in with a child born 1869 Alfred Morton Lloyd WILLIAMS

1871 states he is married, I cannot find a death in Lancashire for Eleanor

Thanks for your reply. Yes, you have the correct Alfred Henry Williams, I wanted to make sure if he was stated as a widower, I can't find a death for Eleanor (or varients) just a possible in the London area, BUT...... 

I have the census with AHW as married, have been caught out before.

Did you find all the info you wanted on AHW & Co?

I just discovered this site (& subsequently registered) while Googling for Luzley Hall, home of AHW, your post about that was near the top of the 1st page of results.

AHW is my wife's great grandfather (via AHW's daughter Gertrude May) & we were looking at family stuff as her 2nd cousin is over from Canada (AHW is also her great grandfather, via AHW's son Alfred Henry Chevers).

We have various bits of info - including a photo of Luzley HAll & one with AHW & wife (not sure which one) with a carriage outside the house.
