Does anyone have any info on the name Belford,which strangely appears on  my great great Grandmothers death cert as a Middle name for my ggGrandfather,James Cockburn B1877 Dunfermline illigitimate.(no fathers name listed )and d1931,at no other time in his life including military documents does this name appear,any idea's about this name would be a great help thanks

 John BELFORD married Amelia MARTIN 07 OCT 1850   Dunfermline, Fife and had several children, so might be a connection there.
