Title: MI Lookup Airth
Post by: johnsankus on Friday 23 September 11 13:39 BST (UK)
Hi guys.
Having great fun tracing the ancestors, most of whom seem to have come from or lived in and around Airth. I have hit a bit of a brick wall with one guy though - Hugh Ogilvy (or Ogilvie) who was aged 35 when he died in 1840. He married Euphemia Robertson in 1835, and is stated as being buried in 'Alexander Robertson's Lair', whom I am assuming was some relation of his wife. Everyone else seems to have history that is traceable back to 1600's, but this guy seems to have just dropped out of the sky. It is irritating in the extreme. Scotlandspeople have no record of him even being born.
I thought something from the MI may shed some light on him - or even any info!
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
J
