Hi,
I am not familiar with RootsWeb, so apologies if this is posted in the wrong place (moderators, feel free to move/copy to the most appropriate place).
I am adam's daughter. I know he helped a lot of people on these boards, and he was always very happy to help with lookups and local knowledge. Unfortunately, I have some sad news. My father passed away earlier this month so any requests outstanding will obviously not now be answered.

Sincere condolences to you and all the family on your terrible loss. I, like so many others had the utmost respect and admiration for your father's willingness to help others and his dedication to documenting the gravestones of Durham.
He shall be deeply missed within these pages.

To Claire and all the members of Adams family my heartfelt condolences for the loss of a truly wonderful person, he will be missed. He aided so many, not just in Durham, but many right around the world like myself in Australia. He helped us sort through the jumble of information and provided such a magnificent service. Thank you for letting us know about his passing.

I know that it is a long time since Adam died but I have only now come across this page and the one where he answered queries about inscriptions at Etherley church. Does anyone know what happened to his database?
