Hello wonder if anyone can possibly check out the following information Saint Thomas Dudley 1857 I found in the IGI, because I cannot find a birth entry in the national Index to match this 1842.
I know baptisms can be any time after birth but it is the birth I cannot find to match this so was wondering if there would likely be more info in the 1857 record.

Hello there
yes parents John petford and Elizabeth higgs been married early 1830's. It is just that I could not find the birth that is in the LDS records, in St Catherines index either free or at Ancestry. In 1851 it says Sarah Ann is 6 so indicates around 1845. but 1861 says 18 so indicates 1843 and 1881 35 so back to 1846.
There is a birth for Sarah Ann Petford 1844 birmingham and one 1846 Alcestor but nothing for Dudley where I believe she was born.
Thank you for the link Looks like that could be it I just checked the name Sarah Ann Peteford at Ancestry and viewed the original index. I have found numerous spellings and transcribed petford patford potford. Think I will apply for this one first.
thank you again for your help
regards
Amelia
