Title: Wolsingham P.R.s - Apprentices James Proud c1856
Post by: proudy on Monday 19 September 11 22:17 BST (UK)
My 2x great grandad James Proud (bn 1847, Blackhill) became an orphan in 1856 when his mother Sarah died (no father on his birth cert). James was apprenticed to a chap called `'Horne' who was a tailor, and lived at Dans Castle, Wolsingham.
I am trying to find out if there are any references in Wolsingham PRs regarding the apprenticeship.

If anyone has access to the PRs I would appreciate it if they could check to see if there is anything regarding James.

Cheers,

Nige :)
