Title: Grandad Murphy
Post by: novac on Monday 19 September 11 16:05 BST (UK)
I have discovered that my Grandfather fought in WW1. I never met him and as far as I know there are no family photos. He was in the 5th Btln Kings Regiment Liverpool from September 1914 until he was demobbed in 1919. He received 3 medals the 1914-1915 STAR the War Medal and the Victory Medal. I noted that he was wounded from an application for information re his pension. I do not know how badly he was hurt.  Are there any records of individuals? I wondered if there was anyone who might have photos of these soldiers. I can only guess what he might look like. Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to identify as many members of the 5th Kings (Liverpool) regiment as possible by the centenary of ww1. If i can identify him i will let you know. I will try to add a photo of the 5th from 1914
