Hi

Deptford is split between the modern day London boroughs of Lewisham and Greenwich. Each will house local archives that hold directories and perhaps photographs certainly of main streets.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deptford

The guide at the top of the Rootschat London and Middlesex boards 'A guide to London archives and useful information leaflets' gives links to London borough archives. It maybe worth contacting them to see what their records hold (though certainly Lewisham has an online catalogue) and what you want searched. There may be a charge for the research.
