Hi,
I was wondering if someone might have access to the monumental inscriptions for Salendine Nook Bapt. Ch and can do a look up for the following:
Mark WILKINSON d. 1907
Alice WILKINSON (his wife) d. 1874
They may be buried with other family members but I thought I would first see if these MI's include the family as I believe Alice (nee Hyde) was bapt. at this church in 1837.
I appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from someone in the group. Thanks,
Jane

Hi,
Thanks for answering my inquriy. One questions, do you think it would be o.k. to contact them? I thought it might be easier if someone actually had the MI'S (if they exist). I have other names I wanted to find out about as well and I didn't want to be a nuisance. Let me know what you think,
Best wishes,
Jane

Hi
Huddersfield and District Family History Society website lists two booklets of graveyard inscriptions for Salendine Nook Baptist, divided A-H and J-Z so yes, they do exist.

Yes, I would think it absolutely fine to contact the Church!

Thank you all for the suggestions. Hopefully, my guess is correct and they are actually buried there!
Best wishes,

Hi Claire,
Had visitors staying so haven't been prompt in replying. Anyway, thanks for looking for me regarding the Wilkinson's. May I be so bold as to ask for an Abraham PILLING d. 1893 and his wife Sarah PILLING who died 1869? Another wife of his Ann died 1892. He had three children named Ann, Walter and Charles Edward PILLING who may also be there. Abraham was chr there so it's very possible also buried at the church.
Also want you to know that I do very much appreciate your act of "genealogical kindness" and look forward to hearing from you. In the meantime, have a nice day, Claire.
Best wishes,
Jane

The only PILLINGs there are:
Grave D29
John
Herbert
Ann
their infant son
Grave M50
James
Frances
Mary Jane
Florence and Ernest BAILEY (their grandchildren)
Best wishes
