Please could someone help me date this? I'm guessing it was a wedding picture as she appears to be wearing a buttonhole and a very large hat! I'm also guessing it's early 1900s. If it's my grandmother it would probably have been taken in Darlington, Co. Durham.
Any help appreciated.

Is there any more to the photo Mothballs,is it on card,is there a photographer's name etc or is this the whole thing.Could be at a wedding or she could be out in her Sunday best. :)

Hi Seoras, I'm afraid that's all I have. The photo has uploaded at its actual size and there's nothing written on the back. It looks like a passport photo size?? and doesn't appear to be a part of a larger photo which has been cut down.

Thank you Carol, much appreciated. Does anyone have any ideas about date? My grandmother was born in 1887. Could this be her? I'm guessing she'd be around 20 in this photo so 1907 ish? Would that fit in with the wide hat and cameo necklace??

Here's a photo of her aged about 60. I think it must be her. Sorry it's small. Haven't time to scan it at the moment! She married in 1908 so maybe it is her wedding picture?

Well done Carol - that is a fantastic restore!

My grandmother was married in 1909 and her going away outfit did have a huge hatand very wide lapels. It's hard to see the hair in the picture because the gibson girl hair do was very popular in that period.
