Title: Friends Mum & Auntie needs help with repair & colour if possible COMPLETED
Post by: tup1 on Monday 12 September 11 11:39 BST (UK)
Hi

Please could someone try and repair and add colour if possible to this faded photo of my friends late mother and auntie. They both had fair hair and her mothers dress was blue with white flowers and white cardigan but no idea of aunties colours.Any improvement would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Kathy

Hi Irene,

Thankyou for your improvement of the photo especially having the cars and bus under the tree.My friend did not know where or when the photo was taken but it looks like a bus trip but goodness knows where???.It looks like a statue or something behind them and they are standing on a large base I don't suppose she will ever find out.

Thanks

Kathy

hi Kathy... just a thought re the statue behind them. it looks to me like one of the virgin mary or a catholic saint. Were they catholics? no matter its just a thought. i love the restorations and colour added by other members they have done a great job. mirambu/joy

Hi Carolyn,

Oh my Goodness what a lovely colouring you have done :) :) :) :) Very many thanks my friend will be amazed at what you have done to the photo as it is the only one of her late mum and auntie she has found and did not think anything could be done with it due to the condition of the photo.

Many thanks

Kathy

Hi Joy,

I believe they were Salvationists so it was probably coincidental that they were near the religious statue if that was what it was but thanks for your input and yes the restorers are brilliant on here aren't they.

Kathy
