Any idea what part of Ireland ?

There are quite a few possible matches on the BMD Index...
see : M. Hickey birth 1864-1868 (https://www.familysearch.org/search/records#count=20&query=%2Bgivenname%3Amichael~%20%2Bsurname%3Ahickey~%20%2Bbirth_year%3A1864-1868~&collection_id=1408347&birth_place0=5)

The extracted record collection (which is not complete) doesn't show any children for the couple you mentioned.

It might be an idea to follow up some details (i.e. certs etc) for Michael to confirm some details on him. Hickey is a relatively common surname and it would be easy to end up following the wrong lines by mistake..

Do you know anything about the location of Ballyleane ?
The closest match I see on the townland database http://www.thecore.com/seanruad is Ballyleen. This townland is located in the registration district of Kilmacthomas, which covers central County Waterford.
