Hi
I note that on the IFHF site County Wexford is now listed as 'COMING SOON'.
(And given how long the Yola Heritage Centre has been closed, it's a long time overdue!)
Does anyone have any further info on any prospective release date?
Cheers,
Sihuss

Good news.
Seems the first upload of Wexford records on RootsIreland will be in mid-October.

Anybody any advance on mid-october!? ::) ::) ::)

I've learned that RootsIreland makes a habit of announcing stuff a tad early! The Monaghan records 'planned' for release at the end of September didn't arrive online until mid November, so the Wexford releases will have been pushed on from that.
Could be a Christmas present. Could be a New Year gift. Or could lighten the dark days of January or February. Or maybe St Patricks!

My generation demand instant gratification. :) we don't like waiting.
I suppose i shouldn't complain - I've only been at this for 4 years. I'm sure there are plenty of you who've been waiting a LOT longer for this!
-
I too are waiting and waiting so fingers crossed it will arrive early 2012 - I dont think one will ever be done searching one never knows what the next piece of the jigsaw will be and where it will lead the search
-
Seems the wait is over.... for some at least!
Three Roman Catholic parishes - Tagoat, Clongeen, Clonkeen - and one Church of Ireland - Inch.
Online as of now. Hopefully see more in the near future - its hard to believe that this is all that the original heritage centre had transcribed....
-
i suppose it's progress, hopefully we will get more soon.

Hate to point this out but the blog is wrong for once. Those records are already online.... as I pointed out earlier. ::)
-
Hey, who's saying my blog was wrong?
It wasn't wrong on the day it was written. It said the records would be live within a fortnight and they were.
Shall we take this outside!

So pleased that Co Wexford is now appearing and I know that a lot of valuable work is being undertaken but with this new release, are there only 3 church records available in the whole of Co Wexford? Do we expect more???

Does anybody know if Our lady's parish, has good records mid to late 1800, my family Carroll were in the area for census of 1901 & 1911 i belive some of them were married there and had families, my grandmother died young (in Wexford town) burried in Ballymore cemetery)1935 and her family moved to tippreary as my grandfather was from there.
Sorry posted in error, it was supposed to be new question

Sincerest apologies Wicklow Rose. It was never my intention to cast aspersions upon the blog of which I am an ardent follower.
Felt my own post was being misread, so hence the frustration...
I'd been checking the ifhf site fairly regularly to see if wexford records were up but it was the blog entry which prompted me to check it that particular day. Keep up the good work!
Simon.

A most gracious response, Simon. Thank you.
I'll see what I can find out about the next round of Wexford releases, but I suspect they are now, once again, at the back of the queue.
