As a newcomer you will not know but I'm sorry that 1911 census requests are not allowed - please see here:

The index is free to search and there are lots of suggestions on this thread:

The only Bridget Collins birth in 1913 that I could find in the Prescot district on www.freebmd.org.uk has mother's maiden name as Gavin. Can we assume you have her birth certificate? I could not see a Collins/Pepper marriage either but did not check to see what the coverage was like.

Can I just add
marriage in Prescot Charles Collins to BRIDGET Gavin jun qtr 1900 looks a possible...thus daughter is named Bridget Collins in 1913 ???.... supposition at this stage , but they do look a likely match for parents...so Andreas Collins /Gavin marriage looks right to me ?....allan
ADDED...there was a Bridget Collins born sep qtr 1910 and died dec qtr 1910 in Prescot

funny you should mention the name gavin i was told off my uncle that the first born was a gavin may be she was married twice i searched for the marrage and i couldnt find one either will have a look for gavin hant got birth cert yet thats my next step

Have you any idea re Bridget b 1913 - where her mother was born ??..do you think we should be looking for a birth of a Bridget Pepper ?

thankyou for all your help

Paul,
Your grandmother, Bridget had a younger brother Patrick John (known as John) I'm his daughter, Sheila. I can confirm Ellen was married twice so Gavin was her husband's name. Children of Bridget & Charles Collins were Ellen, Charles, Mary, Thomas, Bridget and Patrick John. I think either Charles or Bridget was from Co Cork.

Hi Sheila, welcome to Rootschat
That's brilliant that you found this post, I'm sure Paul will be delighted when he comes on.

Correction to my previous post :- BRIDGET was married twice (not Ellen), Gavin was her first husband's surname. Apologies.
