Unfortunately there are a few Jessies roughly the right age but according to a newspaper snippet there was a Jessie Henderson in Montrose Prison in April 1851 awating trial at Perth.
There is a Jessie Henderson of the right age at Montrose in 1851.
William Ross 70
Ann Ross 55
William Ross 22
Elizabeth Ross 14
Jessie Henderson 22 born Lainkirk (presumably Laurencekirk)
I wondered if this could be Jessie's mother and daughter at Brechin, Angus in 1851.
Ann Dietch 60 (in 1861 her surname is Veitch)
Janet Henderson 58 sister, born L krik, Kincardineshire (presumably Laurencekirk)
Margaret Wilkinson 5 boarder, born Edinburgh
Janet is still alive and called Jessie in 1861 at Brechin.
FREECEN has a Jessy Henderson with a William and Jessy age 13 in 1841 at Kincardineshire.
Finding proof that this is the right family will be difficult but I thought I'd post it anyway.

thanks for that cookie. Jessie in prison in 1851 census seems to be the right person. i have an address from my mothers (dec) old address book with an address for a man Henderson in scotland written in about 1958 with a notation "cousin", but have mislaid it now. when i locate same i will send a copy. i guess he is also now dec. also this may be a cousin on my fathers side as he also has hendersons. also jessie never went back to scotland. she married, lived and died there. i have a photo of her taken about 1904 in hobart tasmania. that's all for now, will post when more comes to hand. i really would love to find out what happened to her daughters, poor mites. i think one may have stayed with her gran jessie, but what of the others, did they marry. also what happened to john wilkinson, perhaps he became a convict and was transported elsewhere, who knows????!! cheers mirambu/joy

the death 1867 seems to fit jessie's mother jessie. also that may be dau margaret, and george henderson and janet findlay seems to be her parents. cheers mirambu/joy
