I am trying to locate a childrens home in the Altrincham area where I spent some time there, the year was 1978 to 1980, I was able to go to my regular school after attending there in house school for 6 weeks, I went to Flixton Girls School while still being in the care of this facility, I do not remember the name of the Home if anyone remembers or has any information on Homes in this area I would appreciate the information, I remember a boy named David who was younger than me and a girl named Sharon,

Nothing positive I'm afraid at the moment.
Do you remember any road names at all? Or buildings? To get to Flixton from Altrincham you would have needed to go by bus. Can you remember where you got on the bus. At the bus station? There are nearer schools to Altrincham than Flixtion.
Some months ago here on Rootschat there was a thread concerned with Ingledene, a children's home in/ Bowdon
Is this familiar?

Thanks for the reply, I found the Home I was in it was Beachmount, which are now Flats, I used to get on the bus to Stretford then one to Flixton. Have not found anyone that was in there the same time as me though.
