I believe this is the gate lodge of Bellamont Forest House estate on Google Street view - link (http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Cootehill,+Ireland&daddr=Bellamont+Forest&hl=en&ll=54.075008,-7.078961&spn=0.001353,0.007317&sll=54.102466,-7.077788&sspn=0.001503,0.003659&geocode=FakbOQMdEwOU_ykrBD1K4BxeSDFwFTKXqccACg%3BFQhEOQMdojGU_ylnIWkBEB1eSDHCjb4ZqMcAJg&vpsrc=6&mra=ls&t=h&z=17&layer=c&cbll=54.075011,-7.078964&panoid=sptNsPuq_BzGWSJAzJrBEQ&cbp=11,60.4,,1,2.11)

Hi Shane,
Many thanks for your quick reply. The only description I have of the main Gate Lodge is http://william-montgomery.com/properties/bellamont.htm
This says - "The Gate Lodge is single storey, set within the walls at the entrance to the property. There are six rooms and an entrance hall." That link was sent to me by Pastmagic.
Can you please confirm that the house I have marked as Bellamont House on the photograph below actually is Bellamont House.
Thanks again

The Gate Lodge shown on that google street view is at the end of the drive of Bellmamont Forest House, as shown on the auctioneers link which pastmagic gave in your other thread.
You can see the house on the OSI map at this link (http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V1,660926,815780,7,0) (Select the 'Ortho 2005' view for a modern overhead view)

Hi Sylvia,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately the gate-lodge of Bellamont House isn't one of those shown, although the main house itself is.
Thanks again.
Regards
Dave (Newtownards County Down N.I.)

Cheers Shane :) :) It looks like you got it right 8)
As the gate lodge was originally built into the wall I assume that the estate had a wall built all around it.
Thanks again

Hi Dave
It is a while since you posted your question regarding the Gate Lodge at Bellamont. I was just wondering if you have any history relating to The Lodge/Bellamont/family who lived at the Lodge. My Grandparents and family lived at the Lodge in the 1920'/30's. Regards Chris
