Hello rich73,
There is a marriage on Freereg as follows:
25 December 1832, Shepton Mallet, St Peter and St Paul. William Williams, bachelor, of this parish, to Hannah Brabner, spinster, of this parish.
The witnesses were: Ann Brabner and David Gaite. The notes state, "Banns with the consent of parents".
This last comment indicates that one, or both of them were minors at the time of marriage. From the years of birth you suggest, Hannah would have been about 20 when she married.
What information do you have that suggests William was born in Shepton Mallet in c1803? There are a few baptisms for a William Williams in Shepton Mallet but none in that year.

The details of Hannah's baptism, plus those of her siblings are on Freereg also.

Hello again,
I think I have the family on the 1851 census at HO107/1933 Fo 537 Page 2. This shows William Williams as born Bristol.
Do you have the details of this?
Jo.

i did have the census details thanks jo, i was thinking that it may have been wrong and as you said he was born in Shepton.
it was a long shot as Williams and Bristol was never much to go on
and sometimes people pick up on things that you miss like you have with the banns
do you think their may be more info on the banns?

Hello rich,
Have you found William Williams and family on any of the other census returns? These might give more clues as to his place of birth.
It is possible there could be more information on the Banns. The fact that Hannah was a minor makes it likely. Since the parish register states he was "of this parish" you wouldn't get any hints as to his place of origin.
Is it worth trying posts on the Gloucestershire and Somerset Boards for William's baptism in Bristol? You would need to cover both as Bristol is divided between the two counties.

thanks jo will do
i hate dates as
1841 HO 107/963/12 both hanna and william listed born 1816
1861 RG 9/4021/12 william is listed born 1816 again
and Hannah 1820
pretty sure he was born Bristol comes up 3 times now

Hello,
My distant relative was Ann Brabner b.@1815.She had 2 children out of wedlock (Ann Brabner b.@1838 and John Brabner b. @1845.....who I am descended from).Ann Brabner senior then married a Joseph Williams.I think this is the Ann that witnessed William Williams marriage and the sister of Hannah!!! Am away from my research papers at the moment, but let me know if you need dates etc.
