Title: King's 5 North Earl St. (under the clock).
Post by: Dalcassian on Thursday 01 September 11 21:38 BST (UK)
Hi, Have a photo I want dated. It was taken at King's 5 North Earl St. (under the clock).  There is no date on it but I would like to know when King's stopped trading in North Earl Street. I believe No 5 was where Clery's is now.

Hi Carol, Since I posted I have seen a photo of Nth Earl St. taken in 1850 and the clock is visible but not King's.
I looked at the 1908 Thom's Directory and T. King. Photographer. 5 North Earl Street is listed. I see the same entry in Thom's for 1916. (Published in Dec 1915!)
The photo is attached. Hope you can see it.
The soldier's cap badge has been identified as Royal Irish Fusiliers. Have no other information on it.
Thank you for your help.
Joe
