Hi RootsChatters,
The Family Search website in its IGI database has six burials at Little Chart for people named WILKINS. They are as follows:
Olive Wilkins, 20 Dec 1741
Joab Wilkins, 6 Jan 1799
Olley Wilkins, 9 Sep 1802
Hannah Wilkins, 23 Mar 1813
Richard Wilkins, 8 May 1813
Philip Wilkins, 20 Aug 1821
None of these records has age, residence or relationship information. Does any kind Kent RootsChatter have access to the Little Chart registers and can enhance these records with the missing data, especially age?
I'm particularly interested in the age and relationship of Hannah and Philip WILKINS - I'm trying to determine if they were man and wife. But any extra info on any of the six burials would be very appreciated. Do other sources agree with the name "Olley" for instance? Could it be a mistake for Olive? (Probably not since the IGI says the person was male, but burial records don't usually state the sex of the deceased.)
Thanks in advance,
Stovepipe

Interesting that none of the Wilkins appear to have had Grave stones.

Many thanks for all the replies, RootsChatters. They are very helpful.
To me it does look like Philip and Hannah were husband and wife, although the different abodes cast some doubt (but then there were some years between the burials). Abode Hothfield is significant in my research - several of my Philip and Hannah's grandchildren were baptised there.
I wonder which is the correct year for Philip's burial - the IGI's 1821 or 1820 from Panda's source?
Thanks again.

Have just double checked a transcript of the burial record and they do give 1820 as the year of death. You would need to check the parish records to confirm this. IGI often use Bishops transcripts for their records this can sometimes lead to confusion depending when the records were completed.

Thanks for double checking, Panda. Yes, the IGI source for Little Chart burials is the BT.

I am doing a study of Little chart and would like to link any little chart family trees to aid my research. Please send me any info on the village or it's families. I have started a website to keep those with an interest in the village connected. Littlechart.weebly.com do you know what the occupations were or where in the village they lived?
