Just wondering if anybody has had problems finding records in the registration office in Wexford town .
I was there today with names and dates etc. that I found on Familysearch website but they only
managed to find one record for me . The lady was very helpful and searched several record books
for me to no avail .Even marriages that were recorded in our parish could not be found !I find this very
frustrating . Will have to send to G.R.O. I suppose .
Anybody else having this problem ???

Hi Dotod
I think you`ll find you`ll have to visit or contact the main record office in Dublin.I had lots of problems with relatives in Co Cork and other Southern Irish Counties ,with the older records for the Townlands some Parish priests were very helpful but Found the Dublin Office a great help Just e.mail
them with outline of your problem stating main names place of Birth etc and you should get help or at pointers in the correct diection very soon afterwards

If you have the BMD Index references from the FamilySearch website usually the simplest way, is to order research certs by post from GRO Headquarters in Roscommon.
You can also use these references to order certs in the research room in Abbey Street - but you are limited to 5 per person/per day

Hi all ,
Just to say that I got the missing certs from G.R.O. after . Cant understand why they couldnt find them in Wexford though . Thought the births/ marriages might not have been registered but obviously were if they had them in Roscommon .
