please can some kind person explain to me how to decipher a b./d/ m/ date on the parish records? so sorry to be such a thicko but it's defeated me.for instance 85311002 will be? ONCE MORE APOLOGIES FOR BEING A DIMWIT

Hi Betty p,
You aren't an idiot they are very confusing!
Put a 1 in front and it becomes 18531102 - then read backwards to give 2nd November 1853.
