Title: plot details - Farnworth Cemetery
Post by: gh03 on Tuesday 23 August 11 12:34 BST (UK)
Hi

I have a plot number of a common grave at Farnworth Cemetery and I want to get details of the plot and who is buried in it. I have phoned Overdale and they say I have to write in with a £10 cheque.

There is a good chance this plot wont show me what Im looking for so Im a bit reluctant to pay £10.

Im new to all this and just wondered if there is any other way of getting grave details without having to pay this fee?  There isnt likely to be a head stone where I can check names.

Thanks

I would call in personally, and use a bit of charm stating you know your persons burial details and plot number, and wonder if there is any one else buried with them, the person may just look up for you on the spot ,other than that you would have to sit and cross reference every burial in there to find a person with the same grave number ,it would be over quite a few years,so unless you have a rough idea who may be in there ,you have a very difficult task,

would you like to post possible names and dates here so people could look up their burials,

I wont promise a result ,but its free.
