Hi again, Have now found this photo but its a little faded so needs a little rejuvenation, please. Also, for those who improved the photo of my Grandfather yesterday ( or anyone else who is interested) do you think it is a possbility that the gentleman on the left of this photo could be him when he was younger? I'm getting so confused with these photos (there are others as well) as the men all seem to sport the same type of moustache. I am trying to fit them all in a certain branch of the family but it is very difficult. I have wasted so many hours looking at them with a magnifying glass to no avail. Many thanks Ladyt :)

I would say yes the same person.

Hi, That's interesting. I did mean the man on the left of the photo, who is obviously part of the same family as the man on the right. But as I mentioned all the men seem to have the same moustache which is very confusing. So do you think the man on the left could be my Grandfather or more likely to be the man on the right?? Ladyt ???

Hello.
Here's a bit of clean-up from me!
:)

Hate to disagree with Jim, but I don't think those two are the same man ! Sorry ...
The left ears (on the R of the photo) are at slightly different angles to the head; also the tip of the nose is different.
But aging might have altered the nose ... :-\

Hi, thanks for that. I didn't think it could be the gent on the right - he has a slightly different shape face. Was more interested in the gent on the left! Thanks also for the touch up. Ladyt :)

Further to a reply by Lydart opinion seems to be that the chap on the right couldn't b him it was the gent on the left that I thought was a possibility. What do you think Ladyt ???

I'm with Jim that it's more likely to be the person on the right.
By placing one image directly on top of the other, with only minor
manipulation and adjusting the opacity on the top layer, the two faces
merge.
Here's an example with the second image, ie the man on the right - at
fifty percent opacity.

Obviously you know what you are talking about but not knowing about photo manipulation I do not really understand what you are saying. However, I am happy to go with your findings and thank you for going to the trouble you have to help me sort this family out. As I mentioned before there are too many similar moustaches in the family for me to make a definite decision as to who is whom. I am now assuming that the gent on the left must be a brother, which is possible. Without wishing to push my luck taking up more of your valuable time is it possible that a gent with his family in a photo of a previous posting of mine either "Dating" or "Dating 2" could be one of the men in the latest photo I have posted or at least from the same family. Really appreciate your help Ladyt :)

There's a distinct possibility that the gentleman on the left is a brother, or very close relative. I tried something similar with his image, with the exception of the eyes I couldn't get one to merge into the other without distorting it and making it look ridiculous. Even taking into consideration a person maturing and putting on weight - their foreheads are completely different.
This is only conclusive when you want to prove who someone definitely isn't - if that makes sense. For example, if you placed an image of Lydart onto an image of mine, because the shapes of our faces are totally different we could never be mistaken for one another.
