Any information on Agnes Morrison from Scotland
After many years searching I found my Agnes Morrison arriving in NSW on board the ‘David McIvor’ in 1858. She was from Linlithgow Scotland and was age 31. her parents were John Morrison and Margaret Wallace.
I am now trying to track her movements in Australia from 1858.
I have two favourites
Agnes J (morrison) Kelaher who died in Orange 1888( the J throws me off)
and Agnes Morrison who married an Edward Fleetwood in 1862
however this may be way off the mark.
If anyone has any information about these ladies I would love to hear from them.
best regards. Miska

If this is your Agnes then it seems that her husband died and she remarried.
1877
Edward FLEETWOOD, age 46, died SYDNEY, death registered SYDNEY #502
1880
William CLARKE m Agnes FLEETWOOD, marriage registered SYDNEY, #445
However I cannot see death in NSW for an Agnes CLARKE listed with parents John and Margaret, nor a death with no parents listed. Of course, information on death certificates is reliant on the knowledge (or otherwise!) of the informant. Couldn't see any children listed to Agnes and Edward.
I notice that Edward Fleetwood's occupation in the newspaper notice is given as 'mariner' so perhaps children may have been born elsewhere.

TROVE has funeral notices for Edward FLEETWOOD, unfortunately no information about his wife.
Unusually it appears that another man John SUTHERLAND, is also to have a funeral on the same day, from the same address. Sutherland's funeral is to leave the house at 1/4 to 2 and Fleetwood's at 2pm. Different undertakers but both to 'the Necropolis'. Seems that they both belonged to the SMB Society which seems to be a kind of Lodge (Masonic). One notice says that the house is Fleetwood's residence while another says it is Sutherland's residence also.

Hi , Judith
I have been looking at the death of Edward Fleetwood and found the Agnes Fleetwood married to William Clarke in 1880 .
I did find a death for Agnes Clark ( no e) in Leichhart with no parents.
but can’t see a William, with or without an e, in Leichhart.
Agnes gave her age as 31 in 1858 making her birth 1827
I don’t have a birth record for her but other facts point to her being a fair bit older that she stated. Perhaps age may be a factor in there being no record of Fleetwood children so far.
I am trawling through the very interesting Trove site that Ros put me on to. Thank you so much for your kind reply. cheers Miska
PS Will look at death notice. thanks

Wow again. I am having a hard time catching up with all this marvellous information.
How about that shared grave, wonder what happened to William Clarke. and who WAS John Sutherland??
But I am thrilled to have found Agnes. It would be lovely if there were Australian children.
Thank you all for your input it is much appreciated. Miska

Possibly the death notice for AGNES.
Hard to read. Last in the column

It's Annandale, which is a suburb next to Leichhardt.

Edit to add: Sorry for duplicate info - red note didn't come up!

TROVE again - a funeral notice for a George MILLS, stonemason, of Wells St, Annandale, May - mentions his wife Lillias.

Judith's last details above seem to suggest (to me anyway) that AGNES was a lodger at the house.
Lillias MILLS died in 1918
