Hi everyone. I've seen miracles performed on this page. Can anyone do anything to restore this jolly shot of Durham Miners?
Fingers crossed,
David

A lovely photo, just wondering where these "happy miners" are from.
Thank you.

Hi "Old Virginia",
The miners are all from the Dene Valley and I suspect Blackboy A Pit. It is one of a series in a collection I have posted at http://www.lastrp.com/?page_id=6634 which are part of a much larger collection belonging to Colin Turner of Eldon, a local historian. Some great underground shots are included in the collection. I hope you enjoy them. Are you researching a particular pit or individual? Let me know as I have quite a lot of additional material that has not been published.

Thank you David for the information and link. I just love the photo and the restores are just brilliant. I am sure I will enjoy the photos you have posted on the site and will be looking out for any miners from Craghead.
