Title: Joseph Crellen married 1941 Northwich District

   Hi everyone,

     I am trying to establish the name of the father of Joseph Crellen who married Agnes J. Hodkinson in January 1941, Northwich registration area.

     He was born in Lanchester, mmn Tatters, but unfortunately there were two Crellen/Tatters marriages there at that time.  I need to find whether his father's name was Joseph or George T. Crellen.

     I would be extremely grateful if anyone could help with this query.

Hi, Joan, Cheshirebmd shows this marriage to have taken place at St Mary's Whitegate.  The marriage registers up to 1942 are held at the Cheshire Archives and Local Studies in Chester.  If you can wait until next Tuesday when I am going I will look this up for you.  Just let me know.

        Many thanks for your reply.  I would be extremely grateful if you could look it up for me.  I'm sure you know waiting is not something we researchers enjoy but have to bear.  Patience is a virtue they say.

Agnes Joan Hodkinson, aged 21, Spinster, no profession noted on register, Residence at time of marriage, Council Houses, father John Hodkinson, Profession of father, Shunter.
Witnessess, A.B. Diplock, Betsy Crellen, John Hodkinson, Rosa Marguerite Hodkinson.
Married by Banns
