Hello
Could this be the birth of George
George Thomas REAGAN 1860 LOUTH
-
Hello Cathy,
I am having such trouble finding George in any census apart from 1861. Nor can I see your family in 1901. ???
There is a George Reagan b 1863, Lincoln visiting in Wakefield, Yorkshire. He has a wife Fanny. He is a general labourer.
I can't see him either in 1891.

Hi Heywood
In 1901 the family are on RG13/3974/149/51 18 Woolman Road, Blackpool
Emma Ragan, born Gawthorpe, Yorks, circa 1861
I thought that George might have been away in the Boer War but he's not with her on the 1911 free index either :-\

Thanks - no idea why I couldn't spot her but was also looking for her with Fred- rather than Frederick.
I noticed that George's mother moved to Yorkshire but he is not with the family in 1871 :-\ The family there is confusing though.
Just found him with the Taylors :)
So do you have him in 1881 and 1891?
-
In 1871 he's indexed as Bagan:
Jacksons Buildings, Southill, Yorkshire
RG10/4605/32/15
Benjamin Taylor, 64, publican, b. ? Lincolnshire
Mary, 57, -do-
Mary, 26, b. Silsey, Lincolnshre
George Wm. grdson, 5, b. Dewsbury
Benjamin, 2, grdson, b. -do-
George Thos Ragan, grandson, 11, b. Louth
Not found him afterwards and can't find a marriage to an Emma so far :-\
He did die in Blackpool (Fylde RD) though

1891 -RG12/3734/71/17
Dewsbury as Taylor
-
He married as George Taylor December quarter 1880 to Emma Dawson
In 1881 they are with the Dawsons (as in 1891).
He is a beamer in a Woollen Mill

Hi Thank you for looking ..It is confusing the whole family sometimes used the name Taylor which was his Mums maiden name she was Jane Taylor..His father was Michael Ragan..I thought that he may have been in the Boar war too but did not find anything .got him in the other census but not the 1901 or 1911 and I have used both names He died in 1914 this i have confirmed with the death cert..

Hi Catherine,
who reported the death? What was his occupation then?

This is all I can think of...
1901
George Reagan b 1863 Lincolnshire -wife Fanny (b 1865 Radcliffe) is in Wakefield.
I can't see any other George R*gan except yours
I wonder if this is him?
-
I've been looking at that record for a while as well :-\
We have him as a beamer in 1881 and a vocalist in 1891. That one is a general labourer. Nothing on the 1911 index but dies in Fylde RD in 1914.
I've even checked Isle of Man and Ireland just in case ::) The only other thing that I can think of is that he was a boarder and got missed off the form.
The info from his death cert is the only other lead that I can think of.

Hi Cathy,
I'm sorry but 1911 census requests are not allowed - please see here:

The index is free to search and there are lots of suggestions on this thread:
