I have just obtained the Marriage Certificate for Charles Stanton & Harriet Taylor 16/4/1865. It shows Harriet’s father as Thomas Taylor, Labourer. I cannot find an obvious reference in the census data for Harriet or Thomas (Harriet prior to her marriage and Thomas at all). Harriet’s age at marriage 26, though it varies by a couple of years in the census data after her marriage.
Anyone able to help ?

I think it was the variance of ages that was probably affecting your searches

Isobel,
Yes you are right about the ages, and I am sure I did look at this one, but probably later in the search when my thinking was clouded, by too much information. St John Worcester is where she said she was born, in her other census entires, and I will expand my search now for those years prior to 1839 down to 1836.
Thank You.
