My maternal g.father Ernest H White was born 21/10/1884 at 'the star of the day' up Oldfield, Honley. this was the home of Lydia Green licensed beer seller and farmer of 13 acres. I visited Oldfield last year, but couldn't find a public house or similar in the area. anyone any info please

On pages 8 and 13 of this PDF doc you will find references to Star of the Day.
It is a conservation document for the area..  May help with site of Pub on the maps.
